Finally, one for the album.

Afterwards, I went dinner with some colleagues (more specifically Gaik Ping, who came back from Beijing) at Ban Kee, Jalan Gombak.

1. Hokkien Mee

The minute it was served.

A minute after (I think it was less than one minute).

2. Fried Oyster

3. Wet Butter Prawn

Before.

After.

4. Marmite Pork Ribs

5. Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab

6. Kung Poh Praying Mantis Prawn

7. Tofu with Minced Meat

8. Vegetable
(Name forgotten)

There isn't any nice/proper picture taken. For your information, each dish doesn’t last longer than a minute on the table. My colleagues all are hungry ghosts! We have to fight in order to eat!

Shocking! *silent scream*

My next few days of CNY will be visiting Bangkok. I’m sure it’s going to be another long post after that.

Till then!

Good-Bye Mizah

After 10 years being in FHKL, Mizah is leaving us. We will surely miss you, Happy Mum!

We had her farewell lunch at Belanga. Belanga is located at The Gardens, Mid Valley City, and it serves very nice Kelantanese food.

My Laksam (front). *Yum yum*
But Alvin, I still love the Laksam you bought for us from Masjid Jamek VERY much! I shall go find out one fine day.

Seet’s Nasi Kerabu with Ayam Percik (behind).

Cucur udang. *Fantastic*
Doesn't look attractive in the picture? Try it to believe!

Finally, a group picture.

And not forgetting the very kind hamper from our client. It was attn to Ms. Jessica Cheang, okay?

Okay, frankly, the hamper was for the whole office. I saje wanna action only.

Today’s Lunch

Aunty Nat’s Sambal Belacan Fried Rice with Beef. And I usually order an additional fried egg too. Oh, please not to forget their super yummy belacan.

*slurp slurp*drooling*

It’s always a perfect combination to satisfy my (and others’) taste buds.

They served very nice tom yam and fried squid too!

It’s very usual to have a post lunch coma, don’t you?

Company CNY Dinner 2010

We had our company CNY dinner last Friday at Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant. It was a joined dinner with Paprika. 3 tables were booked and each costs RM888++.

The decoration.

Vennese and I.

Another shot.

Pretty? Yes? No? Vennese? Jess?

Seet and I.

The closest 3.

Let’s cut the crap and move on to the food. Below are the menus of the night, it was the ordinary Chinese 10 course meal.

Yee Sang
Jade Abalone and Salmon Yee Sang

Personally, I don’t fancy Yee Sang because it’s usually very sweet. But this is acceptable, not too sweet or oily. But overall, it was just an okay dish. Not even the abalone can “capture” my heart and of course, there isn't a need to mention the salmon because I HATE salmon!

Soup
Double Boiled Soup with Chicken and Dried Seafood

My first thought of this dish was: “It must be herbal soup and I hate herbal!” But thank god it was just normal boiled soup, in fact, it was quite okay. There were a lot of dried seafood such as Chinese mushroom, sea cucumber, scallop and etc. But look at my portion, how come it was empty? Ah, no worries, I actually passed them all to Seet (except scallop) as I don’t enjoy eating them.

Chicken
Braised Chicken with Sea Cucumber and Dried Oyster

It was nothing special. The meat are quite hard, not tender at all.

Fish
Sea Garoupa Fish with Golden Mushrooms, Black Funges and Chinese Cabbage

Sorry, no comment. Hate fish!

Prawn
Wok Fried Prawns with Oats 'Portuguese' Style

This is my favourite dish of the night. In fact, prawn has been my all time favourite. It was cooked in Portuguese style – tasted like spicy mayonnaise?

Vege & Tofu
Dried Scallops on Beancurd Ring

From the picture, it looked just an ordinary tofu with broccoli. Wonder where were the dried scallops? It was stuffed inside the tofu, with steamed egg white as the based and egg yolk as the gravy.

Rice
Wok Fried Fragrant Rice with Baby Abalone

Served with small abalones. Unfortunately, everyone was full when it was served. Our stomach can’t accommodate anymore.

Dessert
Chilled Aloe Vera Dessert & Chinese Pancake in combination

Refreshing dessert and nice pancake, not too sweet!

After this post, didn't you just realised that there are quite a number of food that I don't eat?
